Egg sizes

I googled for info on egg sizes as I have a few English recipe books. I found that our sizes are different to the English sizes. I think this info is important for bakers wanting to try the recipes of British bakers. What do you think?

I have found that using our "large" sized eggs when baking works for English, American and Australian recipes. It is volumetric measures that can cause a problem because there are 20floz to the English pint but 16floz to the American and Australian one. An English cup is 1/2 a pint or 10floz which is a bit more than our 250ml cup. I have a measure with English fluid ounces but tend to convert everything back to metric as a standard.
