Rye bread

I would like to make a rye loaf, can I just substitute the same amount of rye flour for the whole wheat. Or if I want to make for example, a 50% rye loaf do I substitute 50% rye and the balance whole wheat?

Hi Shireen

If you're using Sarah's Wholewheat bread recipe, we'd recommend replacing between 25 and 40% of the wholewheat flour with rye flour. Any more than that and it's probably better to use a Rye bread recipe.

Happy Baking :)
