Hi Yuppiechefs

I am keen to invest in a good-quality chef's knife and would really appreciate your advice. Preferably I would like a knife that will last me a lifetime (and that's gonna be a while, since I'm only sixteen). Is expensive always best? Which is the best brand? What experiences have you had with different knives?

Thanks.

Rebecca

Hi Rebecca

I personally love the knives made by Wusthof. The quality is excellent, the handles are shaped beautifully so it fits your hand perfectly. We have quite a few of their knives at home but must admit that the Ikon 16cm is my favourite

It is quite pricey yes but trust me, it's worth every cent!

Happy hunting and hope you come right!
