KitchenAid vs Kenwood
Ok everybody. So, if I had to base a decision purely on functionality (not astounding good looks), which one should I choose? I am concerned by the fact that the KitchenAid Artisan only comes in at 300w, but the Kenwoods start at 500 and go up to 1200w.
Am I going to be making a big mistake from a power / robust point of view if I choose the KitchenAid?
I do prefer the range of additional attachments that the KitchenAid has so that is also a factor for consideration for me. Tough choice. From a looks point of view, there is only one choice.

I personally have a Kenwood mixer which was handed down to us after my mother-in-law passed away last year. It is still in absolute perfect condition and works beautifully for a machine that's about 20 years old! Although I would also love to have a KitchenAid, I do believe that my reasoning would be purely for the aesthetics of it. I've read quite a few write ups and have also in the past chatted to a chef friend of mine about the comparison, long story short, if you want something that will attract attention on your counter top, go for the KitchenAid. If you want something durable which won't wobble around on your counter when at full speed - get a Kenwood :)
Happy shopping!
I recently purchased a kMix and all I can say is, it's brilliant and quite a stylish one too- it's the firecracker stripes! I'd say go for it, anytime! The reviews I read online about the kMix were very good and many homebakers I know use the kmMix.
I bought a Kenwood Multipro food processor which came with a range of attachments that defied belief. I should have realized it was all too good to be true for the price! Takes up an entire cupboard and none of it works very well at all. The liquidizer just stirs the bottom layer of stuff around, and everything else sits above! I was so frustrated that I bought a Kitchenaid liquidizer at twice the price, and wow! This machine is a workhorse. I love it! I also have the Kitchenaid stand mixer with the attachments, and I really don't need a food processor now. Not to say that I wouldn't accept a Kitchenaid food processor if it happened to come my way. So, I am a Kitchenaid fan. I don't want to cast aspersions on the Kenwood, as I think the model I bought might not be a good example of their quality. As the saying goes "goedkoop is duurkoop"...
I LOVE my Kenwood Titanium Chef, I use it all the time, the blender works amazingly, it has a special mixing tool that scraped the batter off the sides of the bowl as it mixes and you can get a huge variety of attachments. Although it isn't as pretty as the Kitchen Aids or the K-Mix Kenwoods, it works amazingly well!
