Braun multiquick 7 MQ735
Why is this product advertised as "plays nicely with Braun Multiquick chopper attachment" when the MQ735 has a chopper attachment included? What does the included chopper do? Does it have more than one blade? Is it capable of making a small amount of shortcrust pastry? I would be grateful to have the answers to these four questions. Thank you very much in anticipation. Thank you for highlighting this - you are correct, the chopper attachment is included with the MultiQuick 7. We have clarified this on the page now, sorry for any confusion.
The mini chopper has a double blade and is recommended for chopping meat, hard cheese, nuts, herbs and carrots. It doesn't specifically state shortcrust pastry but, in my opinion, the chopper will help to cut the butter into the flour. You will still need to scrape the mixture carefully from the blades and finish off the pastry preparation with your hands. I prefer to use dough hooks from my little hand mixer when making pastry - it keeps it nice and light and I feel more in control than when using my mini chopper. Hope that helps :)
