i have a microwave with convection with me. i baked cookies as you have instructed and at 180 degrees temperature for 20 minutes. the cookies came out light and soft and did not cook on the inside. why is that? Should i have to increase the temperature and bake them at 200 degrees for 15 minutes or what? Please advice?

Hi Padma,

When you bake in a convection microwave the baking time can change. Depending on the power of your convection microwave you may need to bake the items longer or shorter than the recommended time. Usually a convection microwave is slightly faster than a traditional oven although this is not a steadfast rule. It's best to keep an eye on it the first few times you bake in your convection microwave and find what works for your recipes and convection microwave.
Don't forget to preheat it like you would a normal oven and to place your baked goodies on a low wire rack inside the convection microwave when baking.

Hope that helps you get perfectly delicious cookies next time.

Bye for now.
Ellen
