About Wonderbag
Voted one of the world's Top 50 Genius Companies by Time Magazine. Founded by Sarah Collins in 2008, the Wonderbag was developed as a solution to the South African energy shortage forcing blackouts across the country — with the aim of allowing families to continue cooking daily meals even with the absence of power. Inspired by a method her grandmother had used in the 1970s to help save power when cooking, this social enterprise is empowering communities around the world.

Really great addition to my "survive eskom" arsenal.
What with the price of electricity and frequent power shedding, I couldn't have hoped for a better item. So thrilled, I got one for my sister in Australia too :)

Very relevant and useful.
This is truly great quality and value for money. Durable, lovely soft fabric and a beautiful color just as shown on the photographs — I have the Navy Fern. I use mine every day and it saves on electricity and it's fun to take something on a picnic and have a warm meal especially in winter and the colder rainy summer days. Perfect for potlucks too. Very smart and classy and makes heads turn. What Read more

Heat retaining Slow Cooker (Wonderbag) large
I had boiled samp and beans for an hour. I seasoned as I desired, let it simmer for 5mins, I put the pot in my Wonderbag and left for work. When I came home in the evening the food was soft and cooked through and still warm. I just dished. I am loving my Wonderbag.

I really enjoy using the Wonderbag.
To cook items that need long slow cooking like pulses and grains this is a really helpful article. It continues the cooking process until the food is ready and keeps food warm until you need it. Using a Wonder Bag definitely saves on power and saves on time spent watching your pots. Useful, attractive and compact.
