Wonderfully sturdy but difficult to tell if it's open or closed.
I chose this cup because it has no paint that will come off in the dishwasher. Like so many of our "robust" travel mugs. And that is likely to be a positive. The top comes apart so it can be washed properly. The negative is that it's hard to tell if this cup is open or closed, which has led to several spills of hot drinks since purchase.
