Further issues with this kettle.
So, first the lid stopped opening easily. Then the base had to be replaced by Yuppiechef. Now it appears that the element or switch has failed. It doesn't turn on but the base is powered. Enough issues — going to chuck it out and get another brand from Yuppiechef. It's probably 2-3 years old — very disappointing for an expensive kettle.

Nice little kettle but lid and element have issues.
Nice little kettle and good for inverter use as pulls less than 2kW. But the lid stopped opening soon after it was bought and was sent back, told us it was fine. The lid kept on not opening until now and this morning, less than 3 years old, the element has stopped heating. Will see if it can be repaired by Yuppiechef, should last longer at that cost!

After a damaged product was sent to us first, the product was and is excellent.
The product has an individualistic look, yet with classical lines, making it look elegant, yet slightly differentiated from the run-of-the-mill kettles. Functionally it's excellent, easy to use, good heating speed. We also have an electric slicer from Graef, which has been serving us for over 15 years now. These products are solid and appealing.

Too large kettle.
It's advertised that the content is 0.8L, hence the expectation of a small kettle. But the kettle is large and marked 1L inside at about 2/3 of its height. Same size as my old 1.7L kettle! What a disappointment, I wanted a small kettle for 1-2 cups of tea. Otherwise, good quality.
