Maybe because a piece of my heart belongs to the Karoo - but this is hands down the best Olive Oil. Always has been my favourite - and honestly, always will be! Crisp clean taste and looks beautiful in the kitchen, too!

Nicely packaged. Up there along with classic Spanish oil and Italian oil cans. I think this is a must have oil for its rather unusual flavour. For want of expression somewhat raw but with a clean olive taste. I would not use it for most olive oil applications but for particular salad dressings perhaps? For example to offset sweetness of raw beetroot or apple.

A very delicious olive oil. I love that it's proudly South African. The tin is very strong and has a lovely spout for pouring that pulls out of the tin and goes back in without any effort.

The olive oil tastes OK, like all olive oil does, but what was supposed to be a showpiece in my kitchen, is now a bit of a disappointment, as there were dents in both sides of the tin. How does this happen in a box that is packed with inflated plastic cushions?

Although I love the tin, this oil is not like the Mediterranean Olive Oils that I am used to. It's smell reminds me of freshly cut grass and I find it too potent as a dressing for salads. I will not buy it again. I will however keep the beautiful tin.

To stop dripping especially when the tin is full. Instead of having the spout close to the food, turn the tin around so the pourer is the other end, furthest from food. Use this trick pouring from milk cartons too.

The oil itself is great, nice and fresh, pleasant in food. My problem is with the packaging. The pourer is in such a position that it is almost impossible to avoid spilling / wasting and it always leaves quite a bit round the neck of the bottle, which is annoying.

It must be protected from light which this one is and it must taste good and it definitely fits the bill.
Also, the shape and size of the tin, makes it easy to have on the kitchen counter.
