Care Instructions
Follow these steps to ensure your cookware stays clean and increasingly seasoned:
- Allow cookware to cool enough to handle, but still quite warm
- Hand wash with hot water & salt or mild soap
- Use a towel to dry thoroughly (important!)
- Rub a thin layer of oil inside the cookware & on the rim (Palm, Flaxseed, Coconut, Canola or other)
- Place on a stove (or in an oven) & heat up until lightly smoking
- Turn off the heat. Carefully use a paper towel to wipe off excess oil (this avoids a sticky surface)
- Once completely cool, store in a cool, dry place
How to restore cast iron
- If there is rust or gunk, first scrub the whole cookware with a steel wool sponge
- Using a scouring pad, wash with soap & hot water
- Use a towel to dry thoroughly (important!)
- Place on a hot stove (or in an oven) to completely evaporate any excess moisture
- Rub a thin layer of oil all over the cookware, inside & outside (Palm, Flaxseed, Coconut, Canola or other)
- Once the oil is rubbed in thoroughly, use a clean paper towel to wipe off excess oil (this avoids stickiness)
- Place cookware in an oven at 230°C to 260°C and bake for 1 hour
- Depending on the type of oil you use, it can get quite smokey
- Allow to cool completely & store in cool, dry place

Favorite tool in the kitchen!
The first time I cooked in it, the food stuck a little to the pan as they said it would and I thought here we go...four hours of scrubbing to clean it afterwards. But nope. This pan is one of the easiest to clean in my house. You must dry it straight afterwards and give it a light oil with whatever you have on hand. But the process still takes 2 minutes all in all til it’s back in the cupboard. Read more

Great buy
I have tried non-stick (or not), copper (it's got the look but I don't think I have the touch) and iron (very nice), but I keep coming back to cast iron. I am really glad I bought the Victoria brand. Solid, well-made, available lids. Tall sides which are almost completely horizontal do not take away from cooking surface. A couple extra rounds of seasoning before first use and decent care for a litRead more

Great pan! Love cooking with it
I expected a big difference from my thin old aluminium non-stick pan, and this one delivers. Even heat, even simple things like frying eggs are noticeably better than before. I am a convert to cast iron!

Exactly what I was looking for!
I had been looking for a cast iron skillet for some time and was delighted to see that Yuppiechef had brought in a range from Victoria. I have now used it a number of times and love it. This is the perfect skillet for what I intend cooking. A solid piece of cookware. Highly recommend it.

Magic
I've always wanted a proper heavy skillet, but in the back of my mind I thought people on TV were exaggerating about the wonders of a skillet. Now I know they were using euphemisms!
It is heavy and the handle gets very hot (should've seen the silicone handle sleevamajig was sold separately)! It comes well seasoned and ready for use.
Already looking for my next cast ir Read more
