This special material gives each board a high level of flexibility, which protects knife blades from damage.

Large flexible plastic chopping board
Made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)
Special material acts like a buffer, protecting delicate knife blades
Helps knives stay sharp for longer
Does not absorb smells or flavours and is antibacterial
Can be sterilised - simply pour boiling water over it and within 30 seconds at up to 150° C it will be sterilised
Can withstand temperatures ranging from -20° to +150° C
Dishwasher safe

This Wusthof products rubbery composition allows it to stick to the platform it's on, it takes cuts and feels solid under the pressure we tend to put on our cutting boards. The price of this large mat however, comes with the brand's name - definitely not the kitchen beginners immediate choice.

This product is more hygienic than your traditional wooden chopping boards and is a much better choice for keeping your knives sharp when compared to glass/composite/pvc. It is durable, solid, non-slip and has a handy groove around the edges to catch any liquids that may run off when chopping. It really does not cut and scratch and is so easy to wash. It's supposed to be dishwasher safe, but the first wash at 65 degrees (the coolest wash on my machine) warped the cutting board.

Wusthof pride themselves in quality and this product is no exception. It is pricey, however, it will last a very long time. It won't get mouldy or chip like regular wooden chopping boards. It grips the counter very well and therefore no need to place a cloth or anything underneath it. #YCReviewClub

This is such and excellent product. Only issue I have is the fact that it still slides around so it does require a cloth or something underneath it to prevent that from happening on certain surfaces. Kicking myself for not buying the bigger one, but they are pricey, however worth every cent.
