Care Instructions
Follow these steps to ensure your cookware stays clean and increasingly seasoned:
- Allow cookware to cool enough to handle, but still quite warm
- Hand wash with hot water & salt or mild soap
- Use a towel to dry thoroughly (important!)
- Rub a thin layer of oil inside the cookware & on the rim (Palm, Flaxseed, Coconut, Canola or other)
- Place on a stove (or in an oven) & heat up until lightly smoking
- Turn off the heat. Carefully use a paper towel to wipe off excess oil (this avoids a sticky surface)
- Once completely cool, store in a cool, dry place
How to restore cast iron
- If there is rust or gunk, first scrub the whole cookware with a steel wool sponge
- Using a scouring pad, wash with soap & hot water
- Use a towel to dry thoroughly (important!)
- Place on a hot stove (or in an oven) to completely evaporate any excess moisture
- Rub a thin layer of oil all over the cookware, inside & outside (Palm, Flaxseed, Coconut, Canola or other)
- Once the oil is rubbed in thoroughly, use a clean paper towel to wipe off excess oil (this avoids stickiness)
- Place cookware in an oven at 230°C to 260°C and bake for 1 hour
- Depending on the type of oil you use, it can get quite smokey
- Allow to cool completely & store in cool, dry place

Works well!
Purchased this item a few weeks ago along with another item from the same brand.
The finish on the item is quite good, especially for cast iron.
Used it to cook lamb shanks with fantastic results and the lid which can be used as a skillet with grill ridges is a bonus.
Only the maintenance in terms of oiling and seasoning is a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it.

The right tool for many jobs
Pre-seasoned, I gave it another few coatings of linseed oil and it became an instant all-purpose pot. If ever I would be allowed only one pan in the kitchen, then THIS one would be my choice. Slow-cooking pork, frying hamburgers, chicken in the oven, all perfect results no other pan could do.

A versatile dutch oven or camping combo
This product was bought for a family member for Christmas 2021. After sneaking a peak before wrapping I was impressed at the versatility of the lid and how perfectly it fitted compared to some to the other brands on the market in South Africa.
