Sickly sweet "relish"
This is not a "relish" by any definition of the term. It consists of chopped dried pears in a very thin sugar syrup with a few other, barely detectable, ingredients. There is not a hint of acidity (I should have checked the ingredients list before I ordered!) and it is just overwhelmingly, sickly sweet.
