How it works: Zoku Ice Cream Maker

Making homemade ice cream can be a bit of a daunting task. Luckily for us, the folks at Zoku have come up with this nifty soft serve ice cream maker. Individual, soft-serve portions of ice cream? Sounds ideal to us.

When your next ice cream craving calls (and it always does), no need to run to the store, just whip out your Zoku Ice Cream Maker for some instant gratification. Intrigued? Check out how to use it below.

How it works:

1. Remove the inner bowl from the outer sleeve. Place the inner bowl in the freezer overnight. You can easily stack multiple bowls together to save space in your freezer.
2. Return the frozen inner bowl back into the outer sleeve and pour your chilled ice cream mixture into the frozen bowl. We made Eton mess ice cream for this test.
3. Begin to stir and scrape frequently using the spoon provided until your mixture starts to thicken.
4. Stir in your toppings once the ice cream starts to form.

Et voilà, soft serve in 10 minutes. For harder ice cream, place the unit in the freezer for an extra 10–20 minutes.

Here is a delightful recipe for Eton mess ice cream that we made using the Zoku Ice Cream Maker.
