The Simple Summer Cookathon

This year’s Simple Summer Cookathon has been a treat. From large family dinners to a simple date night for two, the ways in which our chosen recipes are cooked and enjoyed in your homes never ceases to amaze us. A big thumbs up to all the brave cooks who took time out (at a notoriously frantic time of year!) to tackle this cooking adventure.

Simple Summer Cookathon

Everyone who took part and submitted pics will be getting a little something from us, and we’ve picked ten entries that we felt were deserving of a special mention. A big shout out to Tandy, Michelle, Chané, Leigh-An, Rachel, Erin, Lee, Jo, Nadia and the veritable Se7en&1 family. A R500 Yuppiechef.com voucher is on its way to each of you for your splendid efforts.

Here’s Tandy’s Cookathon meal. Doesn’t her chocolate pot look delicious? And we love the colour-coded salad, too.

Take a look at Rachel’s Cookathon meal. Rachel even printed Cookathon placemats and her guests look like they’re having a blast in the kitchen, don’t they?

Cheers to you, Erin. Your friends all look super impressed with your Cookathon meal, as are we.

And there were obviously smiles all around for Leigh-An’s great feast.

Nadia’s Cookathon meal with whole mushrooms in the risotto, we like. And your little Le Creuset chocolate pots look like cherry red champs.

Hello Se7en family. Your spread looks tasty, as always. Well done on doubling up the recipes.

Here’s Chané’s Cookathon spread. Nicely plated, we’re sure it went down a treat.

Jo’s Cookathon meal looks delightfully fresh, don’t you think? Nice touches on the dessert, is that peppermint crisp we see? Clever cook.

We like your watermelon stars Lee, nice touch.

And as for Michelle’s Cookathon meal – it looks like a lovely relaxed affair, don’t you think?

Thank you all so much for entering. Nothing beats seeing our recipes cooked in your homes, enjoyed with friends and family and of course your smiling Yuppiechef faces.

If you took part, keep a beady eye on your inbox, and we’ll see you for next year towards the end of August for Cookathon number five.
