A food truck carnival to end off the year

Here at Yuppiechef HQ, we work hard and we play hard. When it gets to this time of year, we’re all looking for an opportunity to chill pretty hard, too. So if you were looking for us on the last weekend in November, you’d have found us, craft beer in hand, lounging on blankets and kicking back. Here’s a snippet of our 2014 year end bash.


Yup, this year our Christmas party was a laid back carnival of food trucks, beer trucks, foosball tables, face painting and even our very own ice cream flavour (who needs cake on a hot summers day when you can have ice cream, right?)

As the sun baked down and the kids played and paddled in the tiny pools, we munched on wood fired pizza from Earthfire Pizza, sliders and poppers from The Grubbery and sipped beers poured from the vintage surfer truck of Bar Di Bar. And when all that was done, we scooped ice cream until the sun set. The Creamery worked hard, and came up with a magical flavour just for us, which they named Mash’s Strawberry Cheesecake. Full of the bright flavours of summer-ripe strawberries, a slight tartness from the cream cheese and even crumbles from the crust, it was a triumph fit to end off our 2014 in style.

It’s been one whirlwind of a ride. We wish you all equally successful end of year parties and hope 2014 is one for the books.
