I bought this as a gift for my younger sister who is a student living in res. She uses it often to make a snack while studying, and it doesn't take up too much space. A tip for tidy popping: drape a tea towel over the front of the machine and the bowl - it helps to channel the popcorn into the bowl and prevents the odd fly-away kernel from escaping.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The popcorn maker was unfortunately very disappointing. Only half of the popcorn kernels actually pop and some only pop once they are in the bowl, which then sends a whole lot of popcorn shooting all over your kitchen floor. You end up with a half full bowl of popcorn, with as many unpopped kernels.
Not a good purchase at the price unfortunately.

I would not recommend this product to a friend.

Awesome product - makes super yummy popcorn!

Great product! This Severin Popcorn machine is good looking, fun and makes great popcorn. The machine is steady while popping, it doesn't hop all over the kitchen counter. The cord is average length with a friendly 3 pin plug.
We have great fun at the office making popcorn together and enjoy the odd few pops which fly over the bowl. Use a wide and deep bowl to catch the popcorn, you'll find a few whole kernels in the bowl, but it's not that many. Measure kernels to about 3/4 of the cap to get the best result and make use of this dual function cap to melt some butter while the machine is popping, drizzle over the popcorn and sprinkle with salt or your favourite popcorn spice. Makes great popcorn but unless you put a cloth over the machine and the bowl, the popcorn will fly all over the place. Also quite a lot of unpopped corn gets blown into the bowl , never getting a chance to pop. Apart from that, great tasting popcorn.
