Riedel Whisky Tumbler Glasses, Set of 2

I have been drinking my whisky from tulip style glasses (Glencairn and wine tasting glasses) for over a year now. I heard about these glasses from whisky enthusiasts who said they were really great for bourbon and even some cheaper whiskies.

I was surprised by how much of the nose you could pick up in a tumbler style of glass. One of the greatest enjoyments in whisky is being able to smell it and often a tumbler loses this, the nose is maybe even broader in this glass.

I was even more surprised by the effect on taste, I had fully bought this with the intention of just having some nice looking glasses but something about the shape and the crystal seems to change the taste of whisky in the glass subtly but enough that you can tell a difference over a regular tasting glass.

The glasses have a nice weight to them, very pleasant to hold and to drink from. Definitely enjoy drinking whisky out of these glasses. Read more
