Remoska Energy Saving Portable Cooker Oven

It’s a great product, very quick and energy saving. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a temperature control, but you learn how to work around that. The only thing that would improve it is a timer switch. The recipe book (bought separately) is very useful.

Really tasty and convenient cooking, it couldn't be easier. I found the Grand 4L to have ample space for a large family, just a simple on/off switch, and the best part was the effortless cleaning of the pot. Being so portable, it would be very easy to take with on holidays; and perfect to keep in the braai room to cook any side dishes.

Perfectly roasts all cuts to succulent juicy perfection. Runs easily off our solar panels so it is effectively free energy! Easy to clean and no fuss cooking. A real winner. Our family has never had so many roasts to enjoy.

If I could I would give the Remoska six stars or more. Five is insufficient for this item. After battling with mini -ovens for years I have finally found a fuel efficient and reliable mini-oven. I have now baked several loaves of artisan bread with great success and many other delicious items. This oven really works and does exactly what is says it does. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a reliable energy saving mini oven. In years past I had often seen the Remoska oven demonstrated at shows. Recently it was advertised in the Caravan magazine. On reading all about it I bought one from Yuppiechef. I must say it is a joy to have. So easy to use and so easy to clean after use. I have so far cooked chicken, fish, sausages and various vegetables. The roast potatoes were delicious. I had fish and chips in it for over an hour. The fish and chips were soggy and some of the chips were still raw. For some reason, the rack was not included which may have made the fish less soggy. I would really like to return this product because if it cannot cook potato chips in an hour, it is worthless.

I bought this as an alternative to an oven during load-shedding, but wish I never did. I must admit that it uses less power than a traditional oven or air fryer. Read more

We now have both the 2L and the 4L, 2L in the caravan and the 4L for home.

What a winner - from roasts to stews, from lamb shanks to baked bread - we have never been disappointed! whatever has come out of the Remoska has been scrumptious not to mention the low power consumption.

Now that I've had my Remoska Grande for a few months, I feel that I need to be fair and change my previous unhappy review to HAPPY as Larry!!

Something that is very relevant is that I have also purchased an 8-litre Air Fryer and can now provide a firsthand comparison with the Remoska. The taste of chicken, fish, bread and muffins is hands down much-much better in the Remoska.

No question!! Yes, the Air Fryer chips are better, but that is it. And as far as electricity goes, my solar system shows that the Remoska saves me one-third of energy-use preparing the same meal as a 1700-watt Air Fryer (given that the Remoska takes longer).

Excellent news for someone like me who is off the grid and willing to sell my conventional convection double ovens in my kitchen.

The lesson I have learned is that good things come with time and few things are as timeless as a Remoska!

I tried to make a fillet steak, bacon and fried eggs. All was colourless and overdone. The heat does not get high enough for grilling, seeing that you cannot preheat.
