A very useful bowl. Has measurements in ml and pints up to 2l, but I think total capacity is about 3l, so a good size. Has a pouring lip and a small flattened area at the bottom - the latter is useful when beating by hand and scraping batter/ dough etc. A handle would have elevated this review to 5 stars. I feel that such a large item of glass should be more robust as compared to other smaller items made from Pyrex.

However, I bought it to defrost items in the microwave and it is perfect for that. It has a clever design that allows one to rest it at an angle making it a great mixing bowl as well.
