Not very user friendly. I bought this purely because of the cubing function as I have other slicing mandolins which were MUCH cheaper — but the cubing function is awful! Utterly disappointed.

Also, the blade is very blunt and wore out so fast, I couldn't even use it for slicing anymore. Eventually threw it out. I still have my cheapie which outlived this overpriced unit by years! Read more

This product is a bit challenging and requires practice to get used to it, especially the cubing function which isn't as easy as illustrated and does have lots of wastage at the end as not all the vegetables go through to the end.

The normal functions seem OK but also wastage at the end.

The product itself is very large and bulky and requires storage space so if you don't have space, think twice. Read more

I hurt my non-dominant hand and struggled to hold down veggies to cut or slice them. My husband is blind, so slicing is not his forte. We got the mandoline and my husband took to doing the slicing and dicing jobs and I can use it when he isn't around. The handguard is not very useful if you want to slice radishes or carrots into discs, so your hands get near the blades. We got cut-resistant gloves as both of us nicked our fingers on the blades. I like that the blades are built-in and everything is controlled with three knobs, so there are no small parts that can be lost. It is big and solid and takes up some space (about 40cm x12cm x 8cm) when stored away, but with limited hand mobility, the size is a plus as it is easier to stabilize than a handheld mandoline. The blade can be lowered to below the cutting level, so you cannot accidentally cut yourself while washing it. It does not fit comfortably over a plate or bowl, so we cut onto a large cutting mat.
