The Mbaula Green is a stovetop, grill and braai all wrapped up in a neat little package. This innovative cooking system is eco-friendly, affordable, and lends itself to a variety of cooking methods, making it perfect for everyday use. The durable inner ceramic layer is heated by burning fuel, and once hot, it optimises the heat. So, with just a small amount of wood or charcoal, you can make a meal for a family, while reducing smoke emission, costs, carbon footprint and health risks. An all-round good guy, really.

  • Ensure that the ventilation inlet is completely open before lighting the fire.
  • Place wood or charcoal inside the inner ceramic lining. The liner acts as an insulator reducing the amount of wood or charcoal required, and becomes really hot.
  • The temperature can be regulated by adjusting the air ventilation door. Additional wood or charcoal can be added for prolonged cooking.
  • Once coals have formed, place cooking appliance on top of the pot rests. Be careful not to exceed the maximum weight of 15 kilograms. It is suitable to cook with a pot or pan, and a braai can also be enjoyed on the fitted grill.
  • Close the ventilation inlet to decrease oxygen intake and reduce the heat

Excellent choice!

I did extensive research on the portable braais and am thrilled with my choice. It works really well, and coals stays hot for long. It's perfect for grilling tapas, kebabs etc on a real grill and not on a "plate". The coals can be distributed evenly for even cooking too. You could even throw a few wood chips for a smokey flavour and it has pot rests to hold a pot, perfect for "glamping".

Cooking for one is not fun, and braai-ing for one even less - this little gadget makes it easy and fun. The food was delicious and it was very easy to clean and used just a handful of charcoal.
