The only salt used by chefs across the world for a reason. Once you go Maldon you won’t go back. There just isn’t a substitute. Perfect for putting it on the table during a meal. Perfect to end off a dish. A gentle taste with depth and character.

Those of us fortunate enough to live in moist, humid Durban know that most table salts exposed to our humidity dissolve into a small puddle of saline water. Not, however, Maldon Sea Salt, which retains its shape and texture on even the most soggy days. For both display and usage purposes, Maldon Sea Salt should be stored in a Salt Keeper (Le Creuset makes a range in a series of vibrant colours as well as black and white). This is a finishing salt, to be used at the table, and the wide mouth and handle of the Salt Keeper allow for easy access and for it to be handed around readily. As for the taste - the large flakes are fantastic and a great addition to any meal. I tend to cook without salt as much as possible as it loses its flavour with cooking, so having Maldon always at the table is a winner. Read more
