A rich, smooth and well balanced beer, the London Pride has a distinctive malty base which is complemented by a developed hop character, from adding Target, Challenger and Northdown varieties to the brew.
- Slightly hazy mahogany in colour
- Off-white head with good lacing
- Faintly sweet aroma, with flavours of dark malt, caramel and hops on the palate
Rob Heyns' Mixed Case Tasting Notes:
May 2014 - Beer for the Working Man - A massively popular drink in the UK, a great way to end a hard working day with a visit to the pub, and another debut to the League of Beers. That was a small mouthful, much like this beer, it is nicely bitter to balance the sweet malt that is lightly toasty. It is a light beer and I am going to be so bold as to say that it is slightly hop forward with an earthy/citrus subtlety and lingering bitterness.
- Alcohol by volume: 4.7%
- Volume per bottle/can: 330ml
