Product Info

Based on the American West Coast pale ale, this beer makes use of American hops to give it the unique character and upfront aromas. Refreshing and full flavoured, yet light in alcohol, intended to be enjoyed as a session ale.

  • Light brown in colour
  • Medium white head
  • Fruity hop and roasted malt aroma and flavour, with a light body and a dry light lingering bitterness

Rob Heyns' Tasting Notes:

September 2014 - American ales are Devil’s Peak’s speciality so it made sense for them to create a traditional APA that is very light with less than 4% ABV. It may be slightly too balanced, but the hop profile is still present and very tasty.

Great beer!

Excellent tasting ale. Very enjoyable, leaves a slightly bitter after taste.

I am sure the alcohol level is more towards a 5% (perhaps I drank too many :-) )

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Whats up with the price?

Fantastic Pale ale, but R26 for a 340ml local pale ale is ridiculous.

I would not recommend this product to a friend.

Great beer

Unlike some better known beers, this one has a price tag which is inconveniently high for some, but with the technique, skill and heart those goes into this beer, it is money well spent.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
