Based on the American West Coast pale ale, this beer makes use of American hops to give it the unique character and upfront aromas. Refreshing and full flavoured, yet light in alcohol, intended to be enjoyed as a session ale.
- Light brown in colour
- Medium white head
- Fruity hop and roasted malt aroma and flavour, with a light body and a dry light lingering bitterness
Rob Heyns' Tasting Notes:
September 2014 - American ales are Devil’s Peak’s speciality so it made sense for them to create a traditional APA that is very light with less than 4% ABV. It may be slightly too balanced, but the hop profile is still present and very tasty.
- Alcohol by volume: 3.5%
- Volume per bottle: 340ml
