Product Info
De Boerin Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2022 is an oil with the strength and generosity that echoes the goodness of the native soil, the sun and the great care that goes into its making. Made using hand-harvested olives which are then rigorously cold-pressed within a few short hours of being plucked from the trees. The low acidity and bold-yet-balanced suite of flavours are kept intact by state-of-the-art milling and handling. Unfiltered and bottled on Kleinood Farm, where each bottle is labelled by hand with the date of bottling and the number of each individual bottle written on the back label.
- A medium olive oil balanced with bold notes of green olive, olive leaf, grass, almond, artichoke, and basil
-
These green herbaceous notes and a trace of lingering positive bitterness on the finish make the 2022 vintage unique
-
Handpicked, cold-pressed, unfiltered Extra Virgin oil is bottled on Kleinood Farm in 500ml bottles
- Made using a blend of Coratina, Leccino, Delicata and Dwarf Frantoio olives:
- Coratina is a very robust cultivar, which adds fruity aromas as well as body and intensity to the blend
- Delicata yields a delicate mild oil
- Favolosa FS17 or Dwarf Frantoio yields a fruity and aromatic oil
- The oil from the Leccino variety is delicate and fruity with a hint of sweetness
- Excellent with crostini, fresh summer salads, roasted vegetables and boiled new potatoes
- The unique intensity and peppery after-taste of de Boerin, adds a lovely flavour to Melanzane, Caprese salads, fresh artichokes, roasted chicken and red meat dishes
