A bohemian style Pilsner, also known as a Czech Pils, this is the latest from master brewers Citizen. More malt-forward and sweet than your average Pilsner, it's a beer balanced well between the malt and the hops.
- Medium-light bodied with a clear, golden colour
- Light, frothy white head
- Initially quite bitter, with spicy, floral flavours from the Saaz hops that smoothes out with slightly sweet malt flavour, and a clean dry finish
- 5.5% ABV
Rob Heyns' Tasting Notes:
October 2014 - A flavoursome Czech Pilsner that is diplomatically balanced between the Noble hops and the Pilzen and Munich malts. This beer has a definite sweetness to it, reminiscent of the original Pilsners, which are commonly regarded to be the world's first lager style, clear beers.
