I re-ordered this product, and when it arrived it was not as advertised when I added it to my basket originally.
It stated that it has the felt backing included.
Comparing to my previous cover from Brabantia, this one is grossly inferior & I doubt it would make it to it's 2yr warranty.

My Brabantia ironing board is 10years+ old and this is the 5th time I've re-covered it - the covers last forever, are easy to clean and the only reason I put a new cover on is that it fades with age (and the new one makes ironing “fun” again... 😁) Excellent quality, fits perfectly and no-hassle in installing it.

The design of this product was really given great thought. The fact that it has the weaved through string around the edges results in a good fit onto the ironing board and mine has a squared front.

I bought this ironing board cover to find it was just a thin layer of fabric which needed padding underneath it? I mistakenly thought they would be sold together. I then had to shop around for the padding. However, the cover then fitted perfectly and is working well!

It comes with a very thin foam layer, however this is a top layer cover and should be fitted on a new or existing felt or foam underlayer.

I bought this product in March and it hasn't lasted even 6 months... it has torn and broken right through. My question is, is this normal? Perhaps it is just THIS one that is faulty and normally they last longer?

Would like some feedback regarding the product as I didn't expect this from a Brabantia product.

I have always bought this cover for my Brabantia ironing board. I probably change it out more often than needed,
but I like to keep my ironing surface fresh. That said, it does wash well.

Very disappointed that the picture and write-up conflict. The picture indicates this is a top layer only but the write-up indicates that it includes a 2mm foam base, which leads you to believe there is a base layer that is separate to the top layer. The cover is very thin compared to other metalised covers I have purchased in the past and doesn't seem at all hard-wearing. For the price it isn't worth it at all. Read more
