To use:
Add 3-4 tablespoons coarse ground coffee, preferred milk and sweetener, and hot water to the mug. Stir contents, replace lid with plunger up, and go. After 4 minutes press down the plunger and enjoy!

Doesn't really work right - think twice and then don't buy it
Summary, it doesn't keep the coffee hot and the plunger doesn't go all the way down so you can't drink the last quarter of the coffee. It works just not well enough and so it's a waste of a lot of money. Rather just take the extra step of using a regular plunger and pouring it into a proper thermal cup.

Horrified!
I have had two Bodum travel presses for a number of years, they go with us every time we travel. I disregarded the criticism in the previous reviews, as we loved the ones we had already. They came with an extra watertight lid for transportation.
Then this new press arrived. Not in a box, with only a cardboard sleeve. Obviously no extra lid. The metal rod attached to the filter clearly too Read more

This product leaks - worthless
This product leaks and is NOT worth R1 never mind the actual cost - how can a travel mug leak?
I also can't return it to Yuppiechef as it has been used so a BIG thumbs down to Yuppiechef for selling crap products - won't be shopping here again
If I could give zero stars, I would.

Fantastic product! Very well designed with a silicone edge around the filter part to prevent tea leaves or coffee crumbs from ending up in your mouth. Easy and very convenient to use.
