How it works: Lekue Waffle Maker

Is there anything better than a crispy, chewy waffle drenched in maple syrup? If there is, we haven’t come across it yet. The only thing that might hold you back, is needing another appliance to whip up these tasty morsels. But what if we told you that making them at home is as easy as filling a mould and baking?

To make these crispy, sweet delights, it’s as simple as whipping up a batter, filling the mould, and popping it into the oven. Interested? Walk this way, friend.

How it works:

1. Whip up a batch of your favourite waffle batter (there’s a great recipe here) and pour the batter into the moulds, as though you were filling an ice tray. The side you see should be uniformly full of batter without holes.

2. Bake in the oven until just golden brown at the edges, according to your recipe instructions.

3. The mould is silicone, so the waffles should pull away easily without sticking. Remove, refill and keep baking until the batter is finished.

4. Stack high and drizzle with maple syrup. Dig in.

See how easy it is to make waffles at home? It’s almost dangerous. Try these chocolate waffles, these red velvet beauties, and these blueberry babies with crème fraîche (they are to die for). The waffle world is your proverbial oyster.
