’Twas the breakfast to be jolly
September’s staff breakfast rolled around with an interesting theme to it. In tune with the upcoming hype of the festive season, this month’s breakfast was full to the brim with Christmas spirit.
The kitchen was transformed with frosty icicles, fairy lights and our own Yuppiechef christmas tree. Quaint reindeer badges, some leaping and some prancing, adorned the place settings. For name tags, well, personalised Christmas cookies, thanks to Debbie, made us all feel rather special.
’Twas the breakfast to be jolly, fa-la-la-la-laaa. There were tinsel belts, santa hats and other interesting feathered head gear.
A simple spread of paninis, scrambled eggs and the usual brekkie buffet accoutrements meant the breakfast team could participate in the merriment instead of slaving over hot stoves. Good tip that one, for all hostesses out there. Thumbs up Renée.
The marketing team brought the Christmas theme full circle. There were touching, comical poems; a jolly presentation and even festive season survival kits.
All in all it was a joyous event, finishing off with a clues ’knowing me, knowing you’ staff quiz game.
Well done to Renée, Andrea V, Darrel, Andrèa F and Andrew, this month’s
breakfast team. Our big pink-reindeer-loving family thoroughly enjoyed that. Onwards rolls the festive season. Expect much merriment.
