So mix the batter and warm the pan, folks. Here’s how to use crumpet rings for breakfast and tea perfection.
How it works:
1. Heat a large pan over a medium heat and add a little oil to the base. Pop the crumpet rings into the pan and allow them to heat for a while, before dolloping some of your prepared batter into the crumpet rings filling them about 3/4 of the way up.
2. Let the batter cook in the rings until bubbles start to form on the uncooked surface. When that surface is mostly covered in bubbles, you can remove the rings, using your spatula and an oven mitt.
3. Once the rings are off, slide a spatula underneath the crumpets and cook until browned on both sides.
4. Serve with butter, maple syrup and crispy bacon for an epic breakfast.
