How it works:

1. Whisk two eggs in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
2. Pour the egg mixture into the side of the omelette maker with the raised edge in the centre – this is the cooking side.
3. Cover the whisked egg with your toppings (we used tomato, cheese and parsley), and close the lid. The instructions say to cook the eggs for 1½ minutes at full power, but we found that bursts of 30 seconds at a time seem to work better, and resulted in a lighter result. Keep opening it up and checking progress to make sure you don’t overcook the eggs.
4. When the eggs are cooked on the bottom and most of the way through, flip the cooker and do the last 30 seconds upside down to finish things off. Slide onto a plate and rinse off the omelette maker under the tap or pop into the dishwasher.
