From the land of cappuccino and capellini, comes the humble pizza. Cooked in a traditional pizza oven, the unglazed brick base absorbs moisture from the dough, producing the perfect crispy base. Not just for Pizza
It may be called a pizza stone and works perfectly for that... but... it's the perfect baking stone for bread. Big enough to handle a large batard, it gives a consistent heat under the loaf for the crust and making sure your bread is cooked through. Artisan bread never tasted this good!!!!!!!

So many uses!
We have used this for making pizza at home and have been very impressed with the results. We discovered recently that this is the best way to heat up leftover pizza. Especially the ones with toppings that don't take well to grill heating (avo, smoked salmon, fresh rocket). Just heat the stone to smoking hot and place pizza on stone. Leave for a few minutes and piping hot, crispy base, without sogg Read more

Works well, while it lasts
This item works well but I've had issues (twice) where it cracks in half. I've followed care instructions to the T: Did not soak in water (water never touches it), did not leave under the grill, I placed it in the oven at first use to set... etc etc. Not sure what I am doing wrong. But otherwise it worked Super while it lasted.

Must-have
I recently ordered this item and it worked excellently. So well that I'm considering buying another one so that I can make more than 1 pizza at a time (although it is social to make them individually and have every one sharing). Yes the stone does stain but the trick is to move the pizza off the stone prior to slicing as it seems to be the cheese oil that marks. Far more economical than a pizza ov Read more

Pizza = Good
Used my pizza stone for the first time the other night. Been looking for something to use to serve and cut my pizza on. Only thing is that after use I need to clean all the cheese off. But on the second round I sprinkled flour on the stone before putting the pizza on. Works great!
