How to use it:
Place silpat on a baking pan with the writing side up
Do not use grease
Lay product to be baked or frozen directly on the silpat
Wipe clean then rinse after use and leave to dry
Store the silpat flat

Clean your SILPAT mat with a damp, soft sponge, then rinse with clean water
Shake to remove excess water and dry in open air
A mild detergent or soap may be used if needed
Note: a slight oily residue after washing is normal, as is a slight discoloration

The Silpat is truly a non-stick baking mat which needs no greasing. From pizza, pies and bread rolls to biscuits, meringues and melted sugar, my Silpats are used very often.
Anything that I used to put on a baking tray now goes into the oven on a silicone mat. Pizzas and breads cook particularly well when I put the mat straight onto a very hot oven tray and recipes containing lots of sugar never stick to the mat. Cleaning is easy with a quick rinse in warm soapy water.
This is one of the baking tools that I wouldn't want to live without.

These are truly amazing & I wonder how I roasted meats & veggies with such ease & minimal mess before!!! I just wish there was a handy storage sleeve for them - mine get wrapped in brown paper & hidden in a drawer so as not be abused by unknowing hands!!!!! Love them!!!! If my French friend Kathy's maid had not put hers under her doggies bowls,,, I would never have tried them!! Amazing!!
Love the mat. It is a great way of baking without adding any oil/fat to prevent the food from sticking to the pan/baking dish. No more scrubbing burnt sugar off pans for hours and hours you are done baking.
Makes life much easier after the fun of baking is over.
I now just need to work out a way of storing it... that mat has a life of its own and tries to ooze out of every spot where I try to keep it.
What a difference to baking this makes. Non-stick is an understatement! Everything just glides off, even baked potato wedges with all the spices on them. No scrubbing or soaking needed as it all just wipes off. This makes every baking dish a dream!
